Hey internets. My name is Lauren, and I have PCOS. I have a separate blog where I write about a lot of things other than my issues with PCOS and trying to get pregnant, or not not trying to get pregnant. It’s at threeconejitos.wordpress.com. There you can read about our one sweet baby girl who was the result of our first IUI, as well as my attempts to lose the baby weight, as well as random ramblings about being married to a family medicine resident, so on and so forth. I almost never, ever mention PCOS over there.
Here though, here is where I talk about the stuff I don’t really feel like being all that open about. I know that people can find and read this blog if they want, but it’s probably not going to be my dad, who frequents my other blog.
So here’s the gist:
I have the PCOS. It’s a major bummer.
We have one beautiful baby girl as the result of our first IUI, after two failed rounds of Clomid and finding out that it did absolute nothing for me.
She is 11 months old, and we recently decided we would throw caution to the wind and not use any form of birth control, you know, just to see what happens.
So far, nothing is happening.
If it continues this way, we plan on beginning to actively TTC either this fall or next spring. That’s kind of up in the air right now.
I think that brings you up to speed. Nice to meet you.
